COVID Safety Guidelines

At Boyne City Free Methodist Church we understand that this is an unprecedented time, and we want to ensure that we are doing everything we can to take care of our church family both physically and spiritually.  Following are the guidelines we have set out for our Sunday gatherings in order to best serve our congregation:

1. If you are one who is more likely to become infected by COVID-19

(because of age, underlying health conditions, etc.)  PLEASE “Stay home, Stay safe.”

2. If you are feeling ill or are exhibiting symptoms of the virus-you must

stay home.

​

3. Wear a mask, Masks will be available for those in need of one.

 

4. Maintain a social distance of 6 feet from other people/families.  No congregating while entering and exiting the church.

 

5. Individuals (and families who have sheltered in place together) must distance themselves in the sanctuary.  Sit on opposite ends of pews (pews are 172 inches long) or in every other pew.  Please fill the sanctuary from front to back.  (It’s a good time to change where you sit!).

 

6. Please refrain from shaking hands and/or hugging.  (We know this is hard, but it is for everyone’s safety).

 

7. Use hand sanitizer upon both entering and exiting.

 

8.Offering plates are located in both the front and the back of the sanctuary.  Please give your offering upon entering or exiting.

 

9. No coffee or refreshments will be served. (You may bring your own coffee from home.)

 

10. Only the sanctuary is open. Children must remain with their family.
